I think our upturn in form is much more to do with better players being available than a clear the air meeting.

That does help but we have lost as many players as we have got back

somethings definitely changed the mentality in the squad

Apparently after another disappointing game the players and management had a few words , can anyone remember which game that was and was it after that we turned the corner?

The clear the air meeting was after the Cheltenham game.

Since then we have won 3 & drawn 2 league games (11 points from a possible 15)

I would suggest that it was a catalyst for a change in mentality with the players getting a bigger say in how we play.

Though you can’t deny that the return of Luongo & Windass has had a significant affect on the performances recently.

A number of factors all combining….

…. less pass around at the back. Quicker transition to attack;

… consistent use of two up top. We don’t have anyone that can play the lone striker role;

… the emergence of Corbeanu and, to a lesser extent, “Bashers”;

… greater understanding/gelling between players. It takes time. Too many fans expected all the new players to understand each other too soon.

… the return of Luongo and Windass.

Thank you, Gareth.
