We are all Wednesday
...we can’t be expecting to win games by scoring 3, 4 goals. I know we’re short on numbers at the back but I think it’s time to consider a back four. We have the quality in this league and are scoring the goals but we’re letting way too many in...
mansfield_owl03
today we played well against a decent team i cant grumble at our commitment against yop of table
Blatter
A cobbled together back three containing only one experienced centre back, a promising. youngster and a ….er Peterson against the top club did very well.. Our defence is decimated by injury and illness. What did you really expect when you saw today’s team sheet. We will only tighten up when we have Iorfa, Palmer and Hutchinson back, and even then we need another left sided player in there. We had 18 shots today and should have won that with a bit more ruthlessness in attack. 5

0114
Absolutely. 5 goals conceded in the last 7 days is the only notable concern.
Daz
We do need to stop giving away cheap free kicks when an opponent has the ball with his back to goal and especially if the resulting free kick is in a dangerous position.
GermanBird
Considering the injury crisis we have, I'd say we are doing ok.
Sefton owl
Their first goal was very lucky, but there was times today where we really struggled to get it out.
Joe Jockstrap
To be honest my worry is the forwards. We have a makeshift defence, which will get better when players return from injury and perhaps we’ll bring in a decent free/loan. The forwards are wasteful, we should have been miles ahead against Accrington and not holding on, a better team would have punished us. Not as bad today, however still not taking chances, if we can get defenders back and a bit more composure up front I think we can get in the top 2. Shabba. Night King
BPF not made a save but we e conceded 2 more goals. Need to sort this out because we’re looking mikes better going forward.
wilfsmith
Only 3 teams have conceded fewer goals than Wednesday and they have played fewer games so the statistics don’t really back up your argument.
Suzuki_San
If Palmer was playing today, let's be honest....we win this game. Fine lines, I'm not too bothered about it. We can't plan for Palmer's wife getting COVID! 3

Yes when you think that Iorfa, Hutch & Palmer could easily have been considered as our first choice defence and they are all absent, its no surprise we are going to concede goals with a forward playing in the back line. Let's hope that we are working on having a centre back arrive at start of January, if not sooner
S72 Owl
We’re finally playing attacking football, the best we’ve played all season, unbeaten in 10 league games and you want to change formation to ‘tighten’ up? 4
alan48
Patto gives away a needless free kick . The wall that was set up left huge gaps for kick taker to exploit . BPF should have organised it better and in the end it was an easy shot to take with BPF stood rooted to the spot .
jrh
I'd much rather watch us play like we have been doing. We also restricted them to 2 shots on target all game which both resulted in the goals. If we keep playing like the last 3 games, I think we'll be up and around the top 2 come the end of the season.

NO, NO, NO, NO....NO! We played four at the back for much of the season, with much of our defensive players available. And, quite frankly, the football was rubbish, and our performances were lacklustre. Moore has found a system that is getting the best out of these players...whether it be by fluke or design. Dunkley has literally changed overnight, from a dithering defender who struggled to even pass a ball 5 yards to a colossus who'll win everything where ever it is, when we switched to a back three. It's allowed us to be far more adventurous in our play. Playing out and out wingers in the wing back positions, and full backs (or wingers or forwards!) in the wide centre half positions is allowing us to get, sometimes eight or nine offensive minded players on the field. Throughout September and October we bemoaned Moore's defensive, safety first approach. It wasn't yielding performances, nor results. Finally, he's approaching games with a positive mindset, and the players are responding to it. Lets just accept, given we've only got ONE fit first team centre half, that we might concede the odd goal, so long as it's outweighed by attacking, front foot positive football. I genuinely think, given Windass and Luongo are easing back to full fitness, and with key defenders still to return (or signings to be made), playing this system will see us push the top two very close. Who would've seriously thought that four weeks ago?! 8 1
