Popular Post S72 Owl
Can’t remember last time I celebrated a goal like that at Hillsborough. Feels like a long time since we scored a last minute winner. It was wonderful to see everyone go mental, think most people knew it was such a big goal for many reasons.

That was the day we all knew it was on and we were going up. Let's hope last night proves to be a similar turning point.
OohhJohnnyJohnny
Massively enjoyed that, I was smiling all the way home. Just when you think you’re falling out of love with football, that happens. Im now excited for a midweek trip to Portsmouth in a few weeks.
0742
Can someone make the 'flick up' and finish in to a gif?! Beautiful piece of skill, if Ronaldo did that the pundits would be gushing I watched the game on ifollow, my neighbours definitely knew about the goal!

SiJ
Felt like a huge weight lifted off our shoulders. Finally coming back and also doing it so late on. Exorcised a few demons last night.
Manwë
I would have preferred if he put it in the near post, not the far post. A short distance maybe, but crucial in terms of the extra seconds of travelling time. The more travelling, the more chance the opposition have to stop it. The more chance they have to stop it, the less likely we are to score. Disappointing goal from someone I used to respect.

matthefish2002
Think the last time we scored a late winner was February 2021 when Rhodes score last minute away at Bournemouth. Last time at Hillsborough was v Charlton when Fletcher score late on in 1-0 win in February 2020, a few weeks before the first Covid Lockdown. Yep first attempt was a total miss kick but didn't it fall lovely for the final excellent finish. Some will say he set it up for himself but who gives one. Long time since I enjoyed a performance like that. UTO

He could try that again 100 times over and it not come off though! It's about time we got a little luck go our way.
Vanderowlsterdam
Late winners are always much more satisfying against teams who waste time from the 1st minute. They didn't go down so easy, or take their time with the throw ins after the Windass goal did they?

They really did not do any of what you're suggesting they did, save for that one substitute of theirs that even on their forum they are saying is embarrassing What are you on about? SiJ
Lee actually scored two last minute winners in the same week. First in that classic against Bristol City and then he bagged another against Forest on the Saturday.
