Collapsed on the pitch tonight at Reading and needed urgent medical attention.

Never good seeing that and these things are obviously much bigger than a football rivalry, get well soon.

But begs the question, what’s going on recently - why’s this situation more prominent?

To be honest, I’ve always been surprised it’s not more commonplace. There are plenty of different reasons for somebody passing out unexpectedly - I’ve done so myself - and there are a lot of pro footballers.

Hopefully it’s nothing too serious and he recovers fully.

Just saw there was over 12 mins of injury time and wondered what had brought that about.

Hope he's not in any serious trouble and back playing asap.

I suppose it's more and more elite level athletes pushing themselves to extremes that highlight any missed underlying condition that may be there. It seems to have happened in more frequency because of a number of high profile players collapsing, Eriksen, Aguero.........

Probably too early to analyse what's going on, but thoughts are with him for a full recovery.

Not medical person at all but could this be Covid related?

Lasting effects?

Erikson?

Man In crowd at Newcastle?

2 people at a West Brom game recently?

Flecky tonight?

Looked horrible, shaking uncontrollably.

In what way exactly?

Do we know that any of these people have had COVID?

Or are we going down the crackpot vaccine track?

Or maybe the route of people having covid without knowing?

The tests are not 100% and the symptoms are up and down.

I'm not saying any of it is related btw, but I'm sure there's loads of us who have had covid without knowing.

P.s. I'm double jabbed so not one of those who don't agree with it 😂

Fleck will have had so many tests it's totally implausible they were all wrong

From what I have seen reported he was allowed to stand up before being taken off

That would likely rule out a cardiac event - certainly not one that required attention on the pitch

Hopefully it's not something that will harm his health or indeed his career

I was told by a Dr a good few years ago in a conversation regarding energy drinks and gels that they will have a lot to answer for in a generation.

Im no expert but surely artificially adding extreme amounts of a stimulant to your body on a regular basis would have a negative effect after years of regular use?
