Attacking first half fantastic and had plenty of opportunities to put the game to bed in the second. Need to tighten up defensively. Another goal conceded from a set piece. It needs stamping out and it’s really frustrating. Good three points though and held on to a lead. Hopefully that does wonders for them psychologically. We simply don't have the ability to manage a game or take the heat out of it for short periods when it's required. Paterson particularly had a poor game and I’m sure he’ll know that too. Great goal their second, you could argue Palmer has to be tighter to him but it’s a good strike. Saw the game out. Also 18 goals conceded in 18 which is roughly around the defensive records in the championship play-off seasons. Scoring goals still remains a problem and even though we seem to be creating more chances we still seem to have a problem taking them. We need players drilled in how things work in this division. We need players willing to commit to a full 100 minutes, because rarely 90 minutes is the clock. We need some players willing to give their all, no matter what, because in this division, sweat and blood counts more than talent usually. I'll not go as far as saying we need a motivator too, because that is blatantly obvious, and anyone who thinks Moore can motivate needs to see a shrink. Good to have Luongo in the CM which offers a little more protection. Defensively still look a bit wet. I just hope this free agent CB is good in the air. If we can get Farrell , Dunkley , Luongo , Bannan , Corbeanu and Windass on the pitch regularly you’d have to back us to win plenty of matches in the second half of the season especially if you add Palmer , Dele and Gregory as well .
