That’s the last thing we should be doing. Let owners treat clubs like casinos and we will soon end up with more clubs going to the wall.

Which clubs went out of business before this happened? somebody in the 70s? since FFP - Bury

It just makes it harder for clubs to go up the divisions, like a soft ring fence.

At least they can finally draw a line under it and look to move on. Sell the club and start again.

Surely Reading must have an incoming deduction, they lost £40m+ last year how they then managed to get Drinkwater on loan, oh! and Andy Carroll yesterday.

As they are under an embargo they can only pay wages of £8.5k a week, not sure (even though Carroll is short term) they've managed to get them for that? Chelsea must be paying 90% of his wages.

I don’t recall us nearly going bust then . Wasn’t the save our owls campaign because we looked like being relegated to the old 4th division ?.

It was actually to try and stop us from dropping in to the third. However, the club had a share issue around the same time to raise 100k to stop the club going bust.

How time dims the memory I can’t even remember the share issue.
