What a great bit of trivia. I guess £5K back them was a useful bit of money for the club. I think anyone who was probably over the age of 10 in the 80s will remember those adverts. I still say "who are they" now when I hear your name.

I didn't realise Josh Windass had played for you until I looked it up on Wiki. He's been out injured since the start of the season but looks like he might be making a comeback against Plymouth on Tuesday in the FA Cup replay. He could well feature against you on Saturday is he comes through that game okay.

I was chatting with Josh at MK Dons back in August. He said his aim was to make it back at our match in November.

I never anticipated playing you so a few years ago I went to watch you play Port Vale. Went in the pub at the ground (the Crown). Easy parking, welcoming fans, a grand day out. All the best, except Saturday!

I did similar about 10 years back. Saw Stanley v Rochdale to keep up my '92 club visits'.

Went in the social club at the ground and sat there with my pint.   A few minutes later a smartly dressed elderly man came in and started shaking hands and talking to just about everyone in the club.   Someone told me it was the chairman!

I was amazed.  Imagine that at Hillsborough!

So, thanks Chansiri for letting us taste proper grass roots football at first hand.

Don't follow satnav to their ground, unless it's been updated.  It tried to send me straight through a farm

Question :what are the main bus services from the Railway Station to the ground because there’ll be a fair few supporters coming in by train ?

It's about a 4 minute bus ride. Get off at the Crown. Bus no 7.

It takes about 15/20 minutes to walk but it's uphill.

Saturday bus times:
