striker Posted November 13, 2021 Share Posted November 13, 2021 Started well, tried to be positive and play on the front foot for most of the half, but that goal knocked the stuffing out of us. Our makeshift defence always looks susceptible to set pieces and has been our undoing again. Gregory is a huge miss, not really threatened with any confidence or conviction up front. Not much on the bench to affect matters up front, more of a mentality challenge now. A goal in the first 20.minutes and it's game on,. otherwise this game will just fizzle out. S6ToBerlin Posted November 13, 2021 Share Posted November 13, 2021 Kamberi is good for his pressing and his workrate but Gillingham aren't even trying to play out from the back, they're happy to just sit in and try and get us on the counter. Similarly for Wing, he's good enough defensively at breaking up moves but offers almost nothing going forward. I'd like to see Kamberi & Wing --> Berainho & Adeniran at half time personally, I reckon that could give us that extra bit of creativity going forward.. Play 4 at the back with two proper centre halves and let the full backs support the wide players. We’re expecting two out and out wingers to perform the wing back role and it’s clearly not their game.
