Bob
We could easily have won that at the death. Not a bad performance, onwards and upwards.
runningaround
look at the backline and how we kicked on, dont forget these are the form side in the league. ITV came for an upset in historic eyes and we could have won. Be positive

For the record, I’m normally the happiest of clappers but I honestly feel that, it’s under Moore, we are too cautious. What does a long trip down to Plymouth bring us against the form team in the league? Probably a defeat, tired players and the lost opportunity to work on something in training. Maybe we’ll make £15k from the game where a lot of that will be absorbed by costs. We should have gone for it. In that case I am glad it is going to a replay. We are generally worse after more time on the training ground.
CircleSeven
I must be easily pleased because I was happy with that. We were cautious in the first half against a team that battered us earlier in the season. Pretty sensible move IMO. We’ve been absolutely shîte prior to the Sunderland game and we looked solid today. Not many awful mistakes. And as the game progressed we looked better not worse, our subs improved us, and we created a chance or two to win the game. Plymouth will undoubtedly be far more disappointed not to have won than we are given our relative league positions and the fact they tonked us early in the season. Yes the game wasn’t thrilling but I didn’t think it would be!

Is it because they have a better squad of players? I don't think so. The fact that we are happy with this result/performance because we could have won at home to Plymouth says a lot about where we are currently at in terms of under performing. Lincs Owl
Thought we played well 2nd half, but thats 4 times we've been on national TV for fac games in last 5 years i think and we haven't managed a goal yet. Swansea 0-2 Chelsea 0-3 Man C 0-1 Plymouth 0-0. Just pleased Shrewsbury away wasnt on.

As I said. Maybe I’m easily pleased. I want us to attack of course but would rather keep a game tight and not go behind early on and then try and exert dominance a bit later in the game when the opposition is a good team. Plymouth are unbeaten in 15 with good reason. I honestly think if we’d tried to be too attacking we could have been battered. Instead we are mildly disappointed not to have put the game to bed in the last 10 mins. I’ve seen every game this season and the Wednesday of two or three weeks ago would have got beaten today IMO. shandypants
Why is it sensible to be cautious in the cup against a team where, if we have to replay, we’ll have to travel the best part of 250 mile to for a midweek game where we’ll be far and away the second favourites? Plymouth have very good home form.

Gonna be worse next week when I miss a home league game (other than behind closed doors games) for first time in 27 years. I'll be back for Accrington away. Well I could go to Plymouth for the replay, but f that!

We are underperforming still but by less than we were. Only three matches ago we looked dire against Cheltenham and conceded a last min equaliser. We now are holding our own against a team that smashed us earlier in the season having beaten Sunderland 3-0 the game before. It’s progress. Maybe not fast enough progress, maybe not enough to justify Moore keeping his job even but progress nevertheless. Having seen us against Cheltenham and Lincoln if you’d have told me we’d beat Sunderland and draw against Plymouth I wouldn’t have believed you.

I think we did look more likely to win than Plymouth as the game went on. But they are not exactly easy to beat, however much you might go for it. I agree with all of that but the reason we drew with the likes of those teams is down to Moore's decisions. We were better today and I enjoyed the second half but there's still plenty that isn't right. I hope we don't play 3-5-2 against Gillingham, there's just no need to have so many players in our own half and have Corbeanu having to come back so deep to defend.
