you can't afford to have passengers in the modern game.

we won yesterday because everyone worked their socks off and created an intensity that unnerved Sunderland .

one player strolling around would ruin the high intensity press.

we can't play a four four two with bannan in the middle and two wingers .it's too lightweight ..

especially if you don't want the wingers to work for the team .

what you witnessed yesterday was 352 ..with Theo putting in a shift and showing class on top .

that's not his best position but it will stand him in good stead ..hardwork never going out of fashion

He is not a defensive minded player and shouldn't be shackled by having a wing-back role. He was excellent in the final 3rd yesterday, he shouldn't have to worry about the defensive side as much. That's not being a passenger, it's just a matter of getting the most out of him and others. Was it a good idea when Monk picked Forestieri at wing-back?

He could play wide right with Bannan wide left in a 4-4-2,, a position Bannan played to good effect in the win at Rotherham this season. That would give him less defensive responsibility.

He could also play wide attack either side in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.

Very true. It’s quite unusual to see a player these days using either foot equally well. Scored with his right, lovely cross on the left foot for Kamembert to score. As you say I’d like to see him just operating in that last third of the pitch, one of those players who could switch flanks and torment the living daylights out of full backs/ wing backs. Good old fashioned winger.

Just watched the cross for the second goal again…what he does really well is create space for himself with the ball. When he picks it up out by the by line he turns and starts moving slowly towards the corner of the penalty area. This gives him about 10 yards of clear space to get to the goal line and get the cross in, and also allows him to get the drop on the defender by changing pace quickly.

Really good piece of individual play to set up the cross…the lad is no mug!
