Popular Post areNOTwhatTHEYseem
Regardless of the quality on show, the opposition we face, or even the final result we achieve, the effort levels tonight are surely what all fans want to see in each and every game. I'm not sure why, and I'm not sure how, but we suddenly looked like a team this evening: the closing down from the front was exemplary; we hunted the ball in packs all game; and we didn't give Sunderland a moment to settle into their stride. No team will win every game, nor will they play attractive football each week. But if we see that work rate replicated in every game, then I for one will get behind it, and I reckon the vast majority will too. 72 5
Popular Post Morepork
Weird really that we could turn out a performance with so much drive, work rate, urgency etc. I think every fan could get behind what we saw tonight.
Popular Post SiJ
We were organised, we pressed at the right times and we worked our knackers off all night. Best performance of the season by a mile. Credit to Moore and the players. That needs to be the standard now going forward.
Popular Post Lord Snooty
We also seems to have learned having lots of the ball means nothing. It's what you do with it 16 2

WalthamOwl
Yes they have proved they can do it, now they need to do it against the lesser teams in the league and Moore needs to send us out to attack rather than sit back. 3 1 2

S1Owl
So maybe when attack minded attitude which reflects on rest of players works, Corbeanu creates chances for both Gregory & Kamberi which brings midfielders into attack to follow up.. Please learn from it DM
Green Calx
That sort of performance is all we ask for. Aggressive, attacking football. It doesn't have to be pretty just give 100%

Costello 77
The key to this was Bannan plugging the gaps to allow an attacking platform. His teammates responded to the freedom in a big way. We defended from the front to the back and made Sunderland look like the old us. He's got to learn from this... he's got to! 3 1
Mosborough-owl
Sunderland are like us, they want to play football. That’s why we won

Bannan was great in his disciplined role tonight, but the front two set the tone for me: they were relentless in their closing down.
Bluesteel.
Credit to all involved tonight. That’s more like it. I do think the psychology of this game was perhaps easier than going to Cheltenham etc even if Sunderland are a better side. The David vs Goliath dynamic is an issue for us but it wasn’t that kind of game tonight and it brought out the best in us. Now to do this every week at home and we will be right up there. Guest DoesJackHunt
Great effort tonight! Much, much better! I thought they all played well an put a proper shift in. Our shape was much better (we actually had one) and our closing down was excellent.
Wednesday_Jack
We’re never going to be Brazil at this level but there is enough quality there…and if we can add the desire and determination like tonight then I think most will be happy. clud17
It was refreshing tonight, the effort was clear to see and kept the crowd onside, even a few misplaced passes were let go because we could see they were on it. Id love to see it every week like that, if we do the results will keep coming, The forward line were fantastic tonight, strong, busy and pressing and it really paid off.
Tea Baggins
Can’t fault it. Its how you get out of this division, hard work and grit. We also have the quality most teams don’t have. Play like that consistently and we won’t be far off.
