Popular Post McRightSide
Imagine fighting back from 1-0 down to be 5 mins away from finally winning an away game after coming from behind. You are the man on the post, your job is to defend in and around that post. This is it. One last bit defensive effort. Heads above the parapet, nuts on the block and bodies on the line. That’s all it takes. Do your job, be brave and be strong. Stay focused. Don’t get lazy. The ball comes over and heads to the back post. Instead of doing the above imagine walking away from the post and when the ball comes back towards you imagine just standing there. Standing there and watching. Standing there by yourself - no anticipation, no getting involved, no trying to affect the play. Just walking away from your post and giving up. Cowardly. Lazy. Spineless There was so much more wrong today but this moment was and is absolutely symptomatic of the attitude, the desire and the mediocrity in this club. Cowardice. 8 2

Manwë
Seemed three of them could have got it, but the quality Cheltenham had counted for more

Costello 77
Moore has made them weak and disorganised. They're not a UNIT.

Would have to see their goal again, but I'm not sure there was any glaring errors. It deflected into an area where they had 2-3 players and none of our defenders could get near to Blair with their other players blocking. Saying that, there were a long of bog average high balls into the box that we didn't contest well today. Or a couple that we did and inexplicably headed back into our own danger area. jonnyowl
Probably doesn't help only having 2 defenders on the pitch.
SiJ
It's been like that for how long now? The late goal thing is now into its third season? That and the failure to win from behind are almost systemic issues.

Correct They got the corner because their center half ran right to our area unchallenged.
McRightSide
This isn’t a thread about one player. Its about one example of a mentality that is rife through our squad In the example it’s Palmer, but this isn’t about him. It’s a much bigger issue

We need a proper captain on the pitch. That would be a start.
