Pubs for Cheltenham

Recommended Posts

For any other South West Owls heading up to Cheltenham on Saturday for what is nearly a home game for us we are meeting up in the Norwood Arms before the game, on the way in from the M5 about 2 miles from the ground. Food is good and away fans are about as welcome as we will be in the home end on Saturday. Come on you useless blue and white two hats! Wawaw

I lived in Cheltenham for several years, and it's great for pubs, bars and food in general.

Norwood is on the Bath Road only slightly out of town, on a short main road with 3 other pubs off the top of my head.  They do good food at the Norwood and the nearby Exeter. On road parking in the estates surrounding it, permits in place on several roads.

Alternatively, head for the Montpellier part of town if you're feeling flush.  A whiskey bar, several small bars, a few chains (O Neill's, All Bar One, The Ivy).  Sometimes the Town Hall has a bar at the rear that backs onto the park.

Cheltenham is tiny, everywhere is accessible in a few minutes of walking, except the station which is about 10/15 walk from the town (Greene King pub on route).

Can't think of any pubs near the ground, not that you'd want to, it's a hole.  Riches to rags in the space of a few hundred yards.
