I can remember the days of Nigel Worthington and Gary Megson driving round Sheffield in sponsored car with name plastered on the side from TC Harrison.

Think 30 years ago was only top professionals had a decent car.

Now even League One / Division 3 players have a top of the range sports car.

I know people will say I am bit jealous and I don't deny it but you can see why when team is struggling supporters feel less like we are all in this together these days.

Well, yeah, the moment the Premier League was formed and money started getting pumped into the game - it became a business rather than a football club.

A player that epitomises our problems at the time.

he was a player I always hated us playing against. Always played well, high energy and drove the opposites forward.

we signed what was a high energy player whose legs had gone. We were his final payday and looked liked he ran in treacle.

not quite as bad a signing as Abdi… but not a million miles off.

Bentley

Range Rover

really expensive  Merc with gull wing Doors .

All owned by George Boyd whilst he played for us .

He spent years of his career playing in the Premier League.

Not like he came to Hillsborough and then bought these cars due to the contract we gave him.

In the same summer that Carlos signed George Boyd , Brentford signed Ollie Watkins.

Wasn't Boyd more or less our only signing that summer?

Think the writing was on the wall in terms of the financial position.

For same money

Watkins cost Brentford just under £2M. We were heading towards a transfer embargo and were not spending anything on transfer fees - unless you believe the reports that we paid Herenveen millions for an unknown defender.
