Gregory has got 5 goals in 11starts

On course for 20 this season

Paterson  and berinhino are decent options.

a defensively sound but attacking left footed left back.would enhance us..

This. ^^^^^^^^
Lad can do no more.
Wingers. Do we have any ?

Gregory and Paterson should be only brought in the last 5 mins to shore things up.  Agree that the others are worth a try.  Still need to replace those two though.

We'll always have a use for Pato, he's the perfect man to bring on, especially alone with 2 fast wingers. He's our only ball winner, wins more duels than anyone bar Dunkley. If he'd been still on the pitch when we were banging them in v Cambridge or a fresh Pato harrying the backline v Wimbledon instead of covering midfield could have changed both games, Kamberi also battles till the last second, see the Mansfield game.

I've said it from the beginning, we need a striker to move defenders, create space and challenge for the ball or we'll be stuck slowly tapping it up the pitch all season.

He's not the answer we need better, he can't keep up with the wingers.  Agree he gives 100% but that's not enough I'm afraid.

He's an impact sub.

Berahino or Kamberi, possibly Corbeanu could lead the line in a 4231.

However, if we stay with Gregory, we're ducked. He may have tapped a couple in and one good goal, but he hurts the team in so many ways with his lack of movement and pace, not to mention being incapable of playing without Pato within 5 yards of him, requiring the formation change to 532.

Two decent goal scores, as the present ones seem far from capable of worrying the defenders in this league.

Everything just falls apart when the ball goes up front, must be disheartening for the rest of the team when the ball is quickly defended by the opposition. We need to sort this glaring omission in the January window.

We need fast paced eager players, god knows where we get them from but surely there must be better out there than we have already.

20 good players and we are sorted

Surely Fizz and Adrenaline there to do that.  Our concerns are upfront

Luongo has made 7 tackles in 90 minutes so far, which is one every 12 mins.

Dele Bashiru and Adeniran have managed 19 between them, at an average of one every 62 mins.

Having the defensive security provided by a top-notch defensive midfielder allows the more attacking players to push on, knowing that the team is secure in the middle of the park.

It's key to our whole system of playing, and without it we look a bit lost.

A reliable replacement for Luongo, as far as I'm concerned.

We need somebody in the middle of the park to break up play and provide a platform for the more attacking players to build from.

Forgot about him! We've well and truly broken him haven't we.

That's tackling, they might have more interceptions or positioned themselves better etc, though I wouldn't be upset if he worked himself back in the team.    Still need better forward players nothing is going to convince me otherwise, this issue hasn't be sorted for years now.

Could try going back to flat back 4 like start of season that would be a good start ? Didn’t look like conceding many ? Try Theo and shodipo down either wing who look like they might score ? Hopefully find a system that works cus we should be getting more out of this group of players that’s for sure !!!!
