It's the sort of thing that loses manager respect, and the players will be beginning to question his methods. Absolutely no doubt about it. Marvin Johnson has been absolute rubbish in the positions he usually plays in (left back, left wingback, left forward) and yet Darren Guardiola now thinks he can covert him into a CB?! Perhaps he saw Pep convert Lahm from a fullback into a holding midfielder and figured Johnson could be his next project? If Moore is concerned about Dunkley's passing ability it would have been prudent to have noticed it last season and mitigated the situation in the last closed season. You don't even need to see him play to know the kind of defender he is and what he's about. The truth is, Moore has put literally every one of his eggs in the same basket and know we know with almost absolute certainty we can't play in the way he planned. It's indefensible in itself, the random team selections only add insult to injury IMO. And my god, how many times do we see managers convinced they can turn technically limited individuals into ball playing centre backs at this level...... Both Dunkley and Adeniran getting as close as they can to dissenting the decision making, we all know where it ends when managers start down this route of dice rolls.
