Dunkley

I'm sure Dunkley took the decision professionally, he's a good egg, but he's entitled to feel pretty hard done to.

Some things managers do just look (almost) disrespectful…. It was either a situation of Moore proving something to Dunkley or Moore has totally lost it.

I can understand Johnson over Dunkley.

We’ve all been criticising Dunkley’s poor use of the ball. The left-footed comfortable-on-the-ball Johnson was a reasonable shout.

In 360 previous appearances, he's never once played at centre-back, though.

Bannan's left-footed and comfortable on the ball, too - should we give him a go at centre-back, too?

Can you imagine the looks in the team meeting when Moore revealed the team, with Johnson playing left centre half.

It's the sort of thing that loses manager respect, and the players will be beginning to question his methods. Absolutely no doubt about it.

I'm sure Johnson himself was as baffled by the selection, as Dunkley and the rest of the lads.

It's utter nonsense and anyone trying to defend it should be fast tracked to an insane asylum.

A f*cking bang average left sided utility player shoehorned into a three man defence.

It is lunacy and the act of a manager who doesn't have a clue what he is doing.

Even more crackers is the fact we played it long fairly often yesterday as well.

Get a winger playing CB then knock it long, so weird.

In isolation yes but defending as a unit yesterday was a joke. We were lucky not to be two nil down at HT.

Getting ready for people using the cliches 'Lost the Dressing Room' and 'Tactically Naive' about Darren Moore soon.

And why would either comment be wrong??

Sorry to keep going on about this point, but what the bloody f*ck was he thinking yesterday?

Marvin Johnson has been absolute rubbish in the positions he usually plays in (left back, left wingback, left forward) and yet Darren Guardiola now thinks he can covert him into a CB?!

Perhaps he saw Pep convert Lahm from a fullback into a holding midfielder and figured Johnson could be his next project?

Absolutely crackers.

Johnson has just been selected ahead of you as CB. I'm not sure where you go from here.......

If Moore is concerned about Dunkley's passing ability it would have been prudent to have noticed it last season and mitigated the situation in the last closed season. You don't even need to see him play to know the kind of defender he is and what he's about.

The truth is, Moore has put literally every one of his eggs in the same basket and know we know with almost absolute certainty we can't play in the way he planned. It's indefensible in itself, the random team selections only add insult to injury IMO. And my god, how many times do we see managers convinced they can turn technically limited individuals into ball playing centre backs at this level......

Both Dunkley and Adeniran getting as close as they can to dissenting the decision making, we all know where it ends when managers start down this route of dice rolls.

OK, but square this circle.

We’ve a manager who insists on playing out from the back.

Dunkley is awful at this, even on the right, let alone on the left.

Who would you play on the left of Iorfa?
