It won't guarantee success but it gives you a much higher percentage likelihood of a good outcome. Big Jack, Sgt Wilko, Big Ron, Paul Sturrock had all won promotions. Moore has Zero promotions on his CV and West Brom got rid of him pretty sharpish when this promotion favourites were under-performing. Alex Neil has won promotion at Hamilton and Norwich City so he has a track record of success and is still young at just 40 years of age. That makes far to much sense.
31Dec1966
PNE got a penalty every game under Alex Neil, that alone would put us in the top 6! Seriously, he writes very well in the Times today. Good track record and uses every trick in the book to win games

That’s not me suggesting they are right for thinking that but a lot of managers have worked well on a shoestring including Moore, Cowleys, Hurst but haven’t replicated elsewhere. striker
Personally never liked Alex Neil and don't care for the constant shithousery of his teams. He is probably desperate enough to take it, should Chansiri decide to make a change and get knocked back by his first 4 or 5 preferred choices.
