Funnily enough…..the Wednesday reporter on twitter has just said exactly the same as me…….maybe we didn’t watch through blue tinted glasses 😂😂

Think you watched with blackout glasses.

Think Dom Howson's take on game was right, Cambridge better in first, wednesday bossed 2nd.

no cambridge played well as we did second half ........any neutral watching that would have thought it was a good game for the 3rd tier .

I took no pleasure in watching that to be honest.

This is what baffles me.  Both the neutral reports and even the report on the game by the Cambridge media agree that wednesday were the better side after their goal and dominated 2nd half, saying draw was least we deserved and their keeper did well to earn them w point.

BUT the Sheffield commentary and reporting was that we were well out of it for 80 mins and were lucky to get a draw.

A good game for the 3rd tier?

A game ravaged by a strong wind resulting in one team barely being unable to actually make it out of their half due to the wind coming towards them

Pathetic performance……….Cambridge  are a team who were 18th in the table and haven’t won at home since August, and outplayed us for the best part of 80 minutes……let that just sink in 🤦‍♂️

Well they still haven’t won at home since August

lol

According to the Sky reporter, the equaliser was deserved and it was one way traffic all 2nd half.

Was he wrong?

It was deserved reward for Wednesday

Mitov made a superb save to keep out Liam Palmer's header and earn his side a point.

It was deserved reward for Wednesday, who grew into the game.

Even Cambridge media write up on game says same.

Trouble is some of our fans think we should be winning 4-0 every game against these sides and our local journalists are in large pot stirrers looking to get a reaction, as for idiot Giddings he just makes himself look stupid when his biased commentary is on ifollow along with the video

We started running after they scored. They were organised and knew what they were doing and had confidence knowing where players were.

We looked and played like we had no idea for the whole of the first half. Second was the same until finally changes were made. But it wasn't the system or the set up that gave us dominance for the last 20 minutes if was because Cambridge looked knackered.

We have the players and the quality to beat teams like Cambridge but not how we are set up. We were pedestrian until the subs came on and ffs ... please Bannan is a quality player but he's not ******** superman.

Very frustrating when we have the players but they are expected to play in a formation that quite simply DOES NOT FUCKKKKKING  WORK DARREN!!!

View from Cambridge media...

"Wednesday dominated proceedings after the restart, with United sitting deep and allowing their hosts to build attacks.

Lee Gregory had two efforts, one which was saved by Mitov and the other blocked by Lloyd Jones, shortly after the restart.

The U’s were able to produce little in the way of attacks in response"

not saying we were great but is anyone is anyone in this league?

Well, I’ve just got back from watching Argyle demolish Bolton and they’re looking pretty tasty at the moment. Undefeated since the first game. We are nine points behind them now. Automatic looking decidedly unhopeful already.

That was grim.

Stood in the home end Cambridge fans thought we were clearly the better players but offered very little going forward. This was said on the hour mark... final 20 or so we improved, but it was infuriating to see the number of times Johnson was 30 yards further back than in a good attacking position... nothing to do with him doing anything wrong, it's just the shape. 5 at the back just provides no attacking impetus out wide.

I just feel like had we been better tactically we would have won that game. It's no good showing up for 25 minutes.

Game in hand and 33 to play? Loads of time left, it's a slog in this league injuries alway mean sides have streaks in this league as most have paper thin squads. End of season Ipswich and Wednesday will both be top 6 at least and both will be damn site stronger in 2nd half of the season

Can't agree that we deserved to win, 10 decent minutes don't make up for 80 fairly poor ones. Yeah the wind was a factor but we didn't keep the ball well in the middle in either half.

Only positive is that we managed to get a point from it.
