Bannon/Moore Out

Bannan is a great player but we do play a certain style with him on the pitch and while he will create a lot of chances for us, it seems we become quite predictable.

But we're lucky to have Bannan without a doubt. BUT I'm not sure he's the best captain; I feel maybe it should've been with Dominic Iorfa, stick on the big man in defence to sort out the ranks.

Bannan isn’t a great player. Bobby Moore is a great player. Pele is a great player, as are Maradona and Messi.
Bannan has never been better than an average Championship player. He’s never been named in the Championship Team of the Year. He’s never topped the goals scored, assists or tackles made charts.
If he was great he wouldn’t be in League 1. If he was great he wouldn’t be at Sheffield Wednesday.
He’s arguably our most creative player. His touch and control is very good. His accuracy and range of passing is good. His work rate and commitment are excellent.
He looks good as an individual but often slows the team’s tempo. His insistence on receiving the ball and passing long from deep reduces the threat he could pose if he’d play further forward.
When he isn’t in possession his lack of pace and strength and inability to spot danger hurts the team defensively.

Since Bannan was made skipper it’s no coincidence we have never come from behind to win a game.

A proper skipper inspires teams. Bannan just berates his team mates.
