yeadonowl
Surely it’s A1 down to just below Peterborough and then turn on to A14 It will be the way I’m going

Bloxwich Owl
Assuming that no-one’s setting off just yet but it’s just been on the traffic news that the M1 is currently closed in both directions between J28 & J27 due to a ‘police incident’.
Albertowl
For those who haven't been before, parking options are nigh on non-existent. Very little street parking, no car park at the ground, but there's a retail park on the city side of the ground with a Tesco which might be an option. I've managed to pick up one of those "rent my drive" thingies for a fiver - might still be one or two of those up for grabs.

Little tip though, they’ve opened a new part of the A14 which now takes you around the back of Huntingdon. Rather than turning off the A1 just south of Peterborough, you will now carry on south and automatically join the A14 - you can’t miss it. You can’t get past Huntingdon, so if anyone does try to turn off like they would have done a year or so back, you’d have to drive through the middle of Huntingdon which isn’t great at the best of times. Exit the A14 at Quy. Easiest route.
Maddogbob
Avoid Newark on Trent A1 at peak times Ie around 5pm gets very snarled. The turn off for the town it is horrendous and the traffic builds up causing long tailbacks southbound.
Guest mrbluesky
I'm taking the following route, approximately 20 mins journey time... Turn right out of work walk 300 yards, turn left walk 800 yards, turn right walk 600 yards, turn left walk 1200 yards, turn right walk 300 yards, enter home A few hours later... Put Ifollow on Shout at several players Effing and Jeffing at the t.v as they go "round the grounds" Go mad when we score Full-time whistle...head in hands, chuntering "why oh why, again!" Slopes off to bed (approximately 1-minute journey time)
Lowieowl
For those going early I'm told The Plough at Fen Ditton, sitting on The River Cam is worth a visit for food and drink.....a 5 min drive to the ground.

McShefferty
The Plough was a great pub, particularly when the weather was good. Not been for years so can't comment on what it's like today (I used to live in Cambridge).
WorrallOwl17
leaving work at 3:30 in hillsborough, surely 4 hours will be enough? M1, off at Worksop junction and all the way to the A1 through Anston etc. 2 and a half hours from hillsborough will still get me there for
