I cannot understand the clamour to play johnson at left wing back. I agree Brown was hopeless, but only a couple of weeks ago he was the answer to the left back problem and look how well that went down today. When Johnson has played he's equally as bad in that position, as is Palmer. Moore's recruitment defensively has been terrible.

Maybe it's because he's a far better footballer than Brown.

We've mostly seen Johnson at either left back or left wing but neither role suits him. But as a wing-back he would be far better than Brown. Sure he'd make a mistake or two but he'd keep the ball better and at least offers a threat from his crossing or shooting. Even if he has a bad game he's always likely to produce a killer cross - something Brown doesn't have in him.

wildsmith-6

deserved his start but  Shakey and I would revert to BPF...

not as comfortable playing it fast and short .

dom- qaulity and back to his best. 8

dunkley -7 won loads of headers. still not great with ball at feet.but solid.

Palmer 7 decent ,did the dirty work as usual...underrated as usual.

hunt 8.5- excellent game. got forward and provided lovely crosses..

brown 5 was poor, made error for goal,Darren  should have taken him off.

covers ground but no end product..which is why he was originally dropped.

wing- 6 battled but lacks composure on the ball which is surprising. weakest of the midfield three today.

maybe just needs some confidence or maybe works better as the main man in midfield .

bannan 9 mom.

what a game, time he was different class.seeing things and creating chance after chance .great to see him back firing .we are a much better team for it.

dele fis-7.5. power and pace in the middle .didnt finish that great chance that would have made it 3-0.

had he have done that he would get a 9. his best game for us by a mile. well done young man.

Paterson 6.5.not as effective as he can be.

didn't like him going into midfield for Dele.

do want to keep going with this forward partnership . Paterson linked up well with Gregory previously but today it didn't happen..

Gregory 9..class and such a shame for him that we couldn't hold on to the win . great finish ,so glad he took the penalty .

actually a good insight into mooore . publically he will never slate a player ..after bannans pen miss he said he had every faith in barry and he would take the next one..but in reality ,he privately switched it to Gregory ..correct move.

subs..berahino ..didn't get into the game . attacking substitution ..obviously we came so close to 3-0 and he's guy that can finish ..but in reality putting person back in mid for Dele weakeneed up when we needed to hold on..

manager rating ....we had a load of wingers in bench so couldn't shore it up .went for attacking substitutions but it didn't pay off..

formation wise like 352 for use as it allows us to get Patterson near Gregory..allows a middle three which gets the best out of bannan..

it's not pretty is it..feel like the invisible pressure is intensifying ..

I hope they get a few wins and can start to relax and be more confident .

Moore has my backing but he needs to improve how we play...

happy to play out from the back ..

like getting in crossed and getting bodies on the middle ..happy to let bannan find the killer passes..

just got to refine it
