120 odd for 5 to 137 all out in about two overs. Excellent pressure bowling.

Sri Lanka have been a bogey side in world cups for us as well. Nice to get over the line and basically confirm the semi final spot.

If only England were losing too.

I cant see us losing to this current South Africa side and then we likely get New Zealand in the semis which will probably be our biggest test. Fancy us to get to the final though.

That Mills injury means we get to see Willey or Wood (fnarr fnarr)

I fancy you to win the whole thing. I think your weakest point is your pace bowlers and it’s a pretty handy attack. Plus to be able to have someone like Woakes at number 8.

South Africa have the bowling attack but their batting is poor so I can’t see them troubling you too much. We need you to beat them too since you destroyed our NRR.

We’ve got the Windies and Bangladesh left, who we lost series to recently, but we should be winning those and it’ll be enough for us to make the semis and hope that Pakistan have a bad day.

Yeah, having Livingstone, Moeen and Woakes as 6,7,8 is just ridiculous strength in depth. If we had Stokes at three and Archer in for Mills/Jordan I dont think anyone touches us. Without them we have that weakness in our attack where we could be got at by a good batting side.

Not sure why you arent picking Mitch Marsh, he was the standout on that tour to the Windies. Surely he gets in that team when he offers a bowling option too? Feels like you are overly reliant on Maxwell to go big.

Marsh played in the first two and they dropped him for Agar against you. Dropping Marsh means we do lose some firepower in our batting. We only need to pick 4 specialist bowlers. Marsh, Maxwell and Stoinis are definitely capable of putting 4 overs together.

Maxwell and Stoinis are the two picked to go big. Stoinis opens the batting these days in the Big Bash so it’s not like he is practicing that finishing role regularly which I think is a problem.

Australia’s issue is that they have given the old guard one too many world cups and not brought in the next generation

They were never going to win this so why pick the likes of Warner, Stoinis, Smith, Wade etc

They should have used this World Cup to blood some of the next generation of players

Yeah there's no need to have Agar in there over Marsh as long as Maxwell is an option to bowl his offies.

Could Stoinis open with Warner, have FInch at four and then keep Maxwell back as a floater in the middle order? I cant see you dropping Smith or Warner even if they aren't in great nick.
