Popular Post theowlsman
Gregory timed his run right, went across the front of the defender, one touch, bang, 1-0. Now that might not have looked like a spectacular goal but it was an excellent poacher's goal. A true poacher. Hardly ever in the game, gets his one chance and in it goes. Pointing out the good stuff today. Feel ashamed of saying earlier I hadn't been impressed by him this season so far. To be fair, he's not had much service has he? 9
areNOTwhatTHEYseem
Nice to see Hunt back in the team and providing an assist from right-back, too.
clud17
30 seconds before the goal the guy next to me said he isn't fast enough. I turned to him after and said you don't have to be fast with a goal like that, especially with a deadly cross like that.

Yes and as I said midweek, I couldn't understand why he wasn't playing every week.
Tewkesbury
If that's a good game from Gregory, Kamberi must be tearing his hair out wondering why he isn't playing.

He worked his knackers off & scored the winner for a team that creates nothing. Well done Lee! 9
latemodelchild
Said to my mate at the start of the game I was yet to be convinced by Gregory. He showed today what he's capable of. Worked his socks off, caused problems for their defence all game and scored. Brilliant performance. 1
Tewkesbury
By worked his knackers off, you mean was second to a few balls in the second half, wasn't there for 80% of the game then scored a tap in from 4 yards, then ok. Kamberi got one just the same midweek, and put a lot more effort in. 1
Buck Rogers
Gregory man of the match for me. Worked his nads off and got the poacher's goal that is his 'thing'.
McRightSide
Definitely helps when you have full backs who can supply good crosses
Silkstone Owl
We make football look a hard game sometimes time n time again, if we play with width and put decent crosses in we’ll always score goals

Hunt put in a good ball… I’m hoping to god we might play a right winger on the right soon. @theowlsman indeed. Goal in front of the Kop. Happy days. bradowl
Great finish from Gregory, we had him up front whilst they had Kachungu, that helped by our solid defence was difference today.

He pinged that cross in first time, looked like it was a half volley which he managed to keep low. Anything delivered at pace across goal early is going to cause league one defenders problems. Had Hunt controlled it and taken it further on it wouldn’t have been so dangerous. Good build up play and nicely tucked away.
Guest
Gregory was fantastic today, couple of great bits of hold up play and a real strikers finish Really do wonder what game people watch sometimes, some utter clueless chumps in our fanbase

I like him, feels like he’s lost a yard of pace since he was last here but he makes up for it with much more shithousery.
CourteenerOwl
Gregory is a class above in this league. He is working with scraps but always does his best and he does have quality. He will be main man all season and if we to do anything this season we need him fit and firing.
Barnsleyowl1996
To be fair to Gregory not had a lot of service but probably should have had 5 goals ish this year instead of 3. That being said he’s got 3 goals 2 assists in 10 . If he can keep up that sort of ratio and stays injury free we are looking at 20 goal contributions which would be a good return

4evaowl
Football is over complicated by modern day managers. Our last two goals have come from simple crosses into the box. We need to play a system that allows wingers/wide men to get into these positions more often by working with full backs or midfielders to create opportunities to overlap- eg the Worthington/King partnership and Harkes/Neilson - or more recently Wallace/Hunt.
