Which would you prefer.

Out of interest. Which of the two options below would you prefer.

1) go out every Game to spank the opposition, potentially slip up in the odd game and potentially miss out on promotion.

2) go out to nullify the opposition and try not o lose games. Sneak onto the play offs after a boring season of 1-0s and 0-0s

If it was that simple..we currently go out confuse our own players, look tired, play out from the back, pathetically, and hardly get out of our half..especially at home...ffs

I think 1 is our only option. If we do go this way we won't need to worry about the odd slip up as we would be comfortable in the table.

The other reason why it has to be 1 is Wednesday are incapable of the 2 option. Never been able to play a game out. Or hold on to a lead. If Moore is planning on taking option 2 he / we are f#@£Ed.

If option 2 gets us promoted via the play offs I'll take it. fizz hanging about in this league.

This. Amazed at the number of people who'd put entertainment above finishing in the play-offs.

1 is the nearest option, for me.

Go out and play the game aggressively, get stuck in, up the tempo and have a go. Get the ball forward quickly when in possession, hound the opposition when they have the ball; don't give them time and space.

This is what we did against Wigan...

It’s a non starter of a question.

1 is not possible as we do not have players who have pace.  The offside rule prevents us from simply throwing all of our players forwards , and because of us having no pace in attack  ( still ) then we cannot pin teams in or push them back on their heels.

so we are stuck with a version of 2 and hope that our defence and GK goes back to where it was in the first four matches.

I think option 1 is better option in the long term.

Option 1 might not bring instant promotion but it would build a philosophy and style of play that would bring success over time.

Look at Brentford, they had played that way from all the way back in their League 1 days. It took them several years of near misses to get where they are now but it has carried them on well into the Prem now.

You might squeeze promotion with a keep-it-tight team but will then find the same tactics cost you the following year when you struggle to do it in a higher division.
