SiJ
It's utter crap. Idea that the team who finish 24th in the initial stage could win it. "Champions" League my arse.

Ever the pessimist
One theory is that’ll it’s so unwieldy it will soon be made into two competitions, creating a kind of super league by the back door.
belgrade_owl
This is like Super League
fudge27
Well, I stopped watching CL a couple of years ago, hardly ever bother with prem or MOTD anymore and never watched thay Thursday poo . Over saturation and watering down is killing the game and creating multi millionaires of people who quite frankly have no personality or are unlikeable in the main. Poor idea for an already diluted and increasingly poor product
scram
They'll refine and enlarge it to replace it as the dominant club competition Hopefully the breakaway won't be long now
SiJ
It's pretty much a super league. One of the main justifications for the super league is that the tv audience wants to see more games between the "top" sides and this crappy re-formatting will ensure that happens. They'll argue otherwise, but it's more about quantity than quality. 100 more games means millions upon millions more money for UEFA and the clubs involved. That's all it is about. Skyline
Hardly watch any Champs League since they took the games off freeview TV (Was it ITV?). This format is pants though, it's just a way for them to get all the big teams to play each other, without hoping for a juicy draw.
SiJ
Benzema is brilliant.
Ever the pessimist
Modric for that second goal wasn’t bad either.

SiJ
PSG are f*cking sh*te btw. Absolute style over substance.
Beighton Owl 87
PSG were so dominant in the first leg should've been out of sight before tonight.
beswetherick
Real Madrid v PSG is one of those games you wish both teams could lose to be fair
TheBoyBeevers
PSG so fragile it’s ridiculous, all those stars but I’d fancy almost all of the other top teams to cope better in high pressure scenarios. Proper melts. Edited March 9, 2022 by TheBoyBeevers

Birstall Owl
Think PSG were playing 4-0-6 at the end, M'bappe gave it his all but Neymar and Messi were playing walking football.
beswetherick
Wouldn’t be surprised to see Messi leave at the end of the season
