Latest 007 out this week and im hoping for a return to form for Craig’s final outing following the fairly underwhelming SPECTRE (Skyfall was always gonna be a tough one to follow).

Anyone else going to be watching?

Going tomorrow

Moore was great...but his films were largely awful.

Couple of good ones, but some absolute whoppers too.

For me, Casino Royale is still the one to beat. The Craig one that is.

Supposed to be the longest 007 film ever.

Jesus.

Seriously?

I find this genuinely offputting. It could be the greatest film of all time but that's just an obnoxious run time for a film.

Need to include an intermission for this sh*t.

I loved Skyfall but felt the last 30 mins of that film was superfluous. This one is an extra 20 minutes on top of that. Gonna be busting for the loo.

I don't get the love for Skyfall.

Perhaps because it was so much better than Quantum of Solace? Not saying much.

Thought it was all rather convoluted and the last twenty minutes were James Bond doing Home Alone.

For me the Craig movies up to that point had been bereft of all that makes Bond Bond. Skyfall was a great return to tradition- new Q, new M, new Moneypenny, the DB5 brought back. Felt like a great blend of new and old.

Spoiler

They killed Bond.  Where does the franchise go from there.  Genuine moment of disbelief from me when it happened.  And the fact is was his own choice rather than see his daughter at risk made it even better. Proper standout cinema , and fully justifies waiting to get this on the big screen to feed the audience emotions

I liked it.  Didn’t feel too long , there was no filler.

I agree that the villain once again crept into Austin Powers territory but Bond films have to do that.  We went from the excellent Le Chiffre torturing a naked bond with a length of rope to Blofeld having him strapped to a futuristic  surgical chair. I don’t like that the ante has to be upped every time.

Casino Royale is the benchmark.  My go to Bond film.
