We would be MUCH better without Bannan

..... There was a corner just before our goal, Bannan had just been involved in a free kick in the other corner so he had to run right across the pitch to take the corner. Not one of our players made the slightest attempt to move to take the corner. Why not?  Is it instructions from the manager, is it because they know Bannan is going to stop them taking it..

This I found absolutely astonishing. He runs 50 yards just to take free kicks. Why?

Oh, and both deliveries were abysmal, btw.

When we were a half decent side Bannan played passes to players who could make space for themselves, control the f**king thing and pass and score.
I’d suggest it’s up to the other players to up their game.

This post is the answer to the entire thread.

You are as clueless as Moore

That is unwarranted, nobody can be that bad.

You give it a good go with your slagging of Bannan

Are you confused?

The post was about Darren Moore, which you replied to, I just added.

But of course it's all Bannan's fault.

I noticed all of those. There's no denying Bannan played well.

So why were we so poor. I know you've said it's the managers tactics, maybe that's right, maybe not. All I know is that as a team we were really poor in the first half and not much better in the second. We lost to a team that had a number of first team players ruled out just before kick off with covid. I know every team has an off day, we have more off days than most.

Something is wrong in the structure somewhere. We can't blame it on DC, he's taken a back seat while funding a new squad.  I don't honestly think it's Moore, he might not be a great manager, I honestly don't know, but we've been like this for several years now and look at the number of managers we've had. Not one of them has sorted things out. Monk thought it was Hutch and Westwood that were the problem, they weren't.

Unless we sort out why we are like we are we will stagnate in this league and gradually get worse.

You don’t think it’s Moore ??

Our two centre backs are probably the worst in the league for distribution but he insisted on them having the ball

Brown was one of our best performers at Wigan so he gets dropped

He played Sam in midfield and guess what he got injured again

He Played Bannan wide right today in the fist half

the other week he played him nearly as a forward

His substitutions are Bizarre

He constantly let’s everyone bomb forward leaving us wide open at the back

No he’s not to blame

Did you notice the time Dunkley was under pressure in the left back slot and Bannan saw the problem and made a sliding tackle?

Did you notice the attempts he had on goal ?

Did you notice anything he did well ?

Did you notice their player running through and Bannan bottled kicking him up in the air? Just before they scored? Did you notice that?

If it's Moore why has every other manager failed to sort out our problems?

It is with you , you were at it before a ball was kicked today

Talk about misinformation, I say somat, and you say it makes no difference, I'm gonna attribute it to what I want.

The free-kick wasn't abysmal was it, they were forced to clear it for a corner in the 6 yard box.

So we would have won today if he hadn't played. That’s what you’re saying.

I’ve just had a look at MOTM and it looks as if it’s a good job he was.

Bannan 20.83%

Wing %

Adeniran 0%

Shodipo 0%

You like your stats, how many goals/assists has Wing got so far?

But yeah, drop Bannan.

Some proper simple points being made in this thread, mostly by people who don't actually go to the games.

Bannan was easily the best of our midfielders today, but because we lost it is apparently his fault rather than all of the midfielders who played worse than him or the manager who is proving to be tactically inept.

I live overseas. But I watch EVERY game on my iptv. I can promise you that I get a better view of the game from my armchair than you do from any seat at S6.

Having watched a season on I-player due to COVID I can absolutely disagree with this. Having a full view of the pitch rather than the view of the camera following the ball is uncomparable.

No mate, you, (and I,) are just being thick.

BB didn't play v Wigan. We won.

BB did play today. We lost.

BBs fault.. QED

really? thats your argument? wow. we just obviously have different standard then.

to me, any free kick from a a position such as that, that is cleared by the 1st defender, is both absymal and unforgiveable. but hey, you keep clapping such garbage.

I bet you're the guy who gives them all 7/10s in the MoM thread today, arent you?

If it is cleared easily it is poor, if it is cleared at the expense of a corner then either it is a defensive mistake or the defender must have felt some danger from it to have to clear it for a corner.

You keep following the ball on TV, the best perspective!
