Not a Wednesday story, but in my younger years, I had been told by certain ladies that I looked like John Toshack. 
 

Any road, me and a mate were in the Albert pub at the rear of the Anfield  Kop, when the usual young scallies all under 11, came in asking for money to get into the match. 
 

One of em comes straight up to me and says, ‘Ey Toshackkk - giz 20p towards me  ticket’. 
 

Gave him a quid without hesitation!
