DDG is one of the best keepers of his generation. I get your point, but BPF is a million miles from that, I’m not convinced he’s got it in him to cut these howlers out.

So what about my second point?

Let’s try getting behind and supporting him rather than getting on his back?

Do you agree that’s a better option?

I definitely agree that there is nothing to gain from heckling him. It’s down to Moore to manage this situation, either by backing him or getting a replacement. What’s clear is we can’t afford too many more of these ******** ups.

No, I want us singing songs for Westwood to return. That’s what you need to boost his morale, confidence and form. Tried and tested.

He's very talented and had a dream start to the season, he got cocky, he got complacent.

He's young, he'll learn.

Strikers make a mistake and it's a missed opportunity, goalkeepers make a mistake and they get taken out and shot

Let's all calm the f down and not be clammering for Les Dawson's return just yet.

I think the next mistake he makes at Hillsborough that song could well be sung unfortunately.

I know one thing

If BPF doesn’t improve, then our entire season is scuppered entirely

It was a dreadful and calamitous mistake, no question.

That said, whilst annoyed I think in this instance we should get behind him (no pun intended.....) If it wasn't for this lads penalty saves we'd be near the bottom...... lol

Just a note, I think we should edit this thread title mate, I definitely felt like that at the time but we're better than that. 👍

He saved like 3 penalties in a week didn’t he?

Clearly this is a classic case of letting the praise get to your head & ego

This will hopefully humble him and improve his concentration moving forward

There is ZERO evidence to suggest it’s an ego thing

Well there’s zero evidence to prove most things suggested on here, isn’t there, but perhaps he did let all the praise get to him. It can happen, but the top players keep their concentration levels and don’t get complacent

There is no evidence at all to suggest or confirm that though

Let’s not start making stuff up about what a player is thinking

Im giving my opinion, not stating a fact. You’re right, I don’t live in his brain, but I can make assumptions which people can either take or leave, it’s no problem.

Unbiased view.

I don't think that'll happen again. It was poor and it cost us immensely. He'll be better from it.

If I had an accumulater or spent £100 on the trip to Ipswich, my views might have been as strong as the OP's.

But I feel young loanees are here to improve both themselves and the squad. That's exactly what's happening here.
