Which Sheffield Wednesday players are captain material?

Gregory, all the attributes but I don't like forwards as captains.

Hunt, never really thought he was captain material but why not

If we are talking "Captain Material" as in Bobby Moore or Bryan Robson, probably none of them. If we are talking in terms of Captain Pugwash we have quite a long list!

If I were to be critical then only two stand out, as others have said in this thread, Bannan and Hutchinson.

Also remember a young Paul Gascoine playing for Newcastle at Hillsboro.

As he came to take a thrown in front of the North stand, our boys , including weenie, were on their feet chanting “ you fat b@stard”.

Cool as a cucumber, Gaza picked the ball up, stopped, looked up into crowd, pointed at Weenie and mouthed “ I’m a fat b@stard”.

For the young bus who don’t remember Weenie, he was a big lad!

If Hutchinson is such a leader why has countless managers not made him captain. He’s been here 7 years.

Not sure about the order, I would probably have Iorfa higher up because I think he would start the most games but I agree with that list, all would make decent captains I think.

hutchinson, luongo, byers, Palmer

Dunkley has the personality for it but for me isn’t a first choice starter. 
Luongo also seems to have the right temperament but won’t be on the pitch much if at all. 
So probably I’d go Hutch if Bannan was out.
