shandypants
…equates to no width on our left meaning Shrewsbury’s right back having an easier game than he should have had and us only able to effectively attack down the right. About eight forwards competing for three places and no left back in the squad. Shocking!
Pieman
I have to say, this really disappoints me at present. It is an obvious mistake, which makes us more predictable. I don’t understand it, if I’m honest.
S36 OWL
We signed a left back, Brown, yet he hasn't played a single game in his proper position, while we contuine to play Palmer at left back. Beggars belief.

katie melua
I thought Shodipo had a decent game. Just amazed we stopped giving him the ball throughout the second half.

Players played in their proper positions It's hardly reinventing the wheel. If moore think Palmer should be in the team then play him where he belongs.... at right back and leave Hunt out and pkay a left back at left back. 7 3
beswetherick
Makes us very predictable out wide but also trying to play it out from the back with two right footers in the middle and another at LB - one centre half and our left back both having to cut inside gives the opposites less space to have to close down and makes it easier for them to win the ball back. If we’re wedded to playing out from the back then we need the right players there
Barnsleyowl1996
Palmer was atrocious in my view in the second half , constantly going back onto his right foot. Nightmare

He should’ve been competing with Hunt at right back and we should’ve brought in two leftbacks able to compete at this level. 3
alanharper
I'm assuming Brown was injured as he wasn't even on the bench? If he wasn't, that's mystifying. Palmer is dreadful, especially going forward, and in a game where we were expected to be on the front foot I'd have preferred Johnson on the left rather than him if Brown wasn't available. WalthamOwl
Brown is left footed, was fit today but didn’t even make the bench.
TrickyTrev
EVERY SINGLE TIME Palmer went down the wing, they were constantly trying to show him outside, it’s hardly rocket science. I genuinely do wonder what Brown did to get dropped. We should drop Hunt, put Palmer on the right and play Brown at left back. 2

Ellis Rimmer
Brown looked very good in the times I have seen him
Kopparberg
A right footer means passing it inside every time. It helped to mess up the flow of the game

As a RB filling in at LB he’s doing brilliantly. But we need a left-footed LB. Brown and/or Johnson have to be tried, to see if it improves our balance and threat up the left.

SiJ
One has to be left footed and ideally it needs to be the left back imo. You can't do overlaps when you've got two right footers and it narrows our play, which is far from ideal in a 4231 system.
