Ah yes awesome thank you!!
It's weird too as I had that bridge a bit further towards the camera - like going over where those two new doors are on the right?

Weird how memories play tricks eh!

But yeh Hirsty used to be there every home game up on that blue bridge

happy times

Hirsty probably having a fag before the game?

Didn't the shop originally have a portacabin near the floodlight pylon SW corner? Also mini cabins inside the ground.

On memories, anyone remember the big tree that was roughly between the director's entrance and the river - late 50s I believe, when my dad taught me my religion at weekends.

Found it mate.

Original club shop was on Penistone Road

3 terrace houses knocked into one ...

Knocked down and replaced by

the front of the car park from the gates of the "Megastore"...

I'm not saying you're wrong but I thought that the first 3houses were Peats Butchers Factory because my dad worked there before it was demolished.

When did Peats close Keef? (did it become the club shop after the butchers?)

I remember the Penistone Road  shop being there when I was in my teens ....

When the ozzie owl club was called Christies....

Always remember loads of rosettes scarves in there we were in the "Ipswich kit" around that time ...

I bought my first silk scarves in there  one blue n white for one arm ,white n blue for the other ...

I remember Peats though...

My mum used Peats  across from the Park Hotel ..

& Webbs butchers at the bottom of Rockley Road....

Posted this earlier in the thread about the old Wednesday shop. Someone will perhaps know or recognise those in the photo.

Thanks for posting @REDOWL. As I posted in the other thread, this is my mum and grandma. My mum did 49 years working in the shop/megastore, and my grandma is still going strong at 96!

Does anyone else remember when  you could hand your Development Fund books in at the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA office on Castle Market ?

It was when Ernest Kangley was in charge.

I used to go with my dad from his work on Friday lunch and pick up free tickets for the Saturday match.

It would be early 60s
