Darren Moore needs to show that he is the boss and just have Bannan on the occasional set piece. Bannan's deliveries are so predictable we need far more variety as behindthegoal says. Not suggesting a League 1 team can do that but it shows how important it’s considered to be at that level. It’s an area where a tight game can be won or lost for the sake of some training ground drills. The state of our set pieces suggest it’s not been happening for some considerable time. This year Bannan is taking the left-footed ones from the right, and Wing is taking the right-footed ones from the left. Corbeanu took a corner yesterday as well. Not sure which other left-footed set piece players people want? Johnson is probably the main other contender, although he's not played every game. S72 Owl Posted September 12, 2021 Share Posted September 12, 2021 It’s weird because Bannan can put some dangerous balls in from free kicks but his corners just aren’t very good. One thing I noticed watching Plymouth was the amount of times they blocked our players at corners leading to a free header for them. Should really be a free kick but don’t think we got one all game.
