PLYMOUTH ARGYLE ~v~ WEDNESDAY OMDT

Recommended Posts

Two games, two losses, two different ways we've lost.

We need to be able to adapt quicker.

If teams are going to press us playing it out from the back, then what's the plan?

If teams are going to sit back and defend, how do we draw them out?

Because each time it seems to be, carry on as you were.

Why? The club has maintained Moore’s dismal form of five losses in six. Theirs is the squad he built.

To be fair he was forced to use the loan market mainly,  because Donny don’t have a pot to ******** in. So this legacy you allude to could never really happen.

Every single away game will be like this they all think it’s there cup final

To be fair, it IS their cup final, you can tell by the attendance and the celebrations. We need to beaware of that fact and set out our stall from the word go. Our midfield was wrong today, but we have more than enough quality to perform better than we did.

Having patience is fine, and yes it is a long season with plenty of points still to play for, but getting beat of diddy poo like Morecambe and hammered off another diddy team in Plymouth should never be acceptable

I don’t think Plymouth are “diddy poo”.

But a lot of teams will Chuck the kitchen sink at us this season, because let’s be reyt we’re a good scalp. So we do need to need to figure out how to grind results out.

Really disrespectful comment that - which pre-supposes you think were a something club.

Stop trying to play the good shepherd. We are a “something club” when it comes to this league - you’d be a fool to think otherwise.

The fact we were completely outplayed by Plymouth with the team we have - regardless of this “time to gel” nonsense talk - shows just how low our fans expectations really are.

Defeat to Morecambe was even more embarrassing but shrugged off with more “need time to gel” pish. Look at the experience these new signings have. No excuses.

Us Sunderland and perhaps Ipswich on a good day are bigger than many clubs at this level but in the world of football in general we are not a big club and are definitely not looked on as such by many other clubs or other fans. Apart from that I agree with you.

OH FFS

The first game he loses and its ‘id take Big Sam/Big Ron/Carlton/ Waddle any day of the week’

lol

idiots will come out and say change the manager etc , but we have been poor all season , if bpfarrrell didnt save pens etc and we could be nearer the bottom 4 . we have not even had 6/10 performances even in the wins at rotherham dony fleetwood . we dont look like a team what can score goals upto now we have only looked defensively solid . everything in this system is to accommodate barry bannan , forget 433 we need 2 men in centre midfield not 3 . he shouldnt be undroppable

Weak midfield with no physical presence. Its been the same for years.

Spot on S36.

Playing out from the back just invites the high press - they were defending on the halfway line for large parts of that game.

No movement or options from midfield - we looked very static - Bannan started dropping deep again.

Jack Hunt woefully exposed and not supported.

Byers was playing with a hangover.

Weak midfield that just crumbled at any opportunity.

They were miles quicker at everything.

Flattering to deceive at the moment and the gulf between the sides was glaring.

Be surprised if Moore is still here at the end of October if he doesn’t sort it out.

Not impressed with Sow, Byers, Wing or the midfield or the approach, especially after a week off.

Hutch was right when he said someone was going to get a ‘hiding’….it was us.

We were Embarrassed all over pitch today….shocking considering the backing we had, but even that was flat for long periods.

Corbeanu the only highlight and the only one who had any desire to take some responsibility.

I love all this  ‘ raise their game against us cos we’re a big club ‘  ‘ Their cup final ‘    ‘ Biggest crowd ‘ testicles .
if this is the case why aren’t Man City , Chelsea etc . relegated year in year out and Brighton , Bournemouth and Brentford ordering  XL trophy cabinets as we speak

No , big clubs go to these teams and ar53hole them cos they’re bigger and better while we are just  dogmuck .

It’s really not working for me and I can’t see where we’re trying to go as it all looks so disjointed.

We have a lone striker completely isolated most of the time. Our wingers don’t seem to be able to create things or beat a man (Shodipo tried today though). A central midfield which seems to lose the midfield battle for large parts of the game. We seem to gift the opposition so much time and space around our final third and down our wings. We continually invite pressure on ourselves by playing out from the back. Every other pass is backwards.

Apart from the opening 30 minutes against Fleetwood and the second half against Rotherham it’s not been working. We’ve had two weeks on the training ground and we came out today looking like they’ve all been out potting last night.

Moore needs to get this sorted out ASAP.

Great Post pal. Lone striker might work if it was Ronaldo..we need 2 up front and stop this slow build up. Times players get forward with the ball and have to check back as nothing on is embarrassing.

Done throw away a decent start.
