vulva
I keep reading on here how good he is. He hardly ever plays. What’s the point.

I’m hoping we a are club no longer run on “ifs” …time to be sensible not sentimental.

His injury issues only started at Wednesday and Pulis admitted we rushed his recovery last season. If the medical team think there's a permanent issue which is likely to continue recurring, then it makes sense to move him on if possible. However, if they think he can return to regular action with the right management, then it would be daft to let one of our best players leave at this point.

modboy
no point letting him go before the summer, key part of this squad (if fit)
Bluesteel.
Wouldn’t we have had to have released him before the end of last month for them to be able to get him? If his injury isn’t as bad as feared then hopefully he can have some more game time
TrickyTrev
Good, get rid. The guy is a decent player but he’s no good to us in the treatment room and that’s where he spends most of his time. He’ll be on a Championship wage and his wages could give us some manoeuvrability in the January transfer window.

Hopefully he'll stay because unless he's homesick that's a huge step backwards. He can’t be homesick, he’s been in the UK for about 12 year But maybe he wants to finish up at home and relax. Screen Door Slams
Given his injury record this would make sense , he is in the last year of his contract so we have to consider it. Not ITK so dont know how true , but i was told that we WERE prepared to let Liam Palmer (who is also in his last year) go to Forest but their bid fell some way short of our evaluation.
Beauchief Owl
Are they prepared to pay a fee, his wages and medical bills or are we talking about taking him for free at the end of his contract? If it's the latter, there's no story here. Doubt he'll be offered another contract with Wednesday unless he has a blinding second half of the season, and even then on reduced terms.

room0035
Anything around £500k they can have him, he's a good player when fit but breaks down after playing 4 or 5 games. We have plenty of cover and the saving on his salaries will mean DC can get those refunds for the fans season tickets.

I'm sure you have the stats to back that up, but interestingly when we first signed him, my QPR mate said "he's a decent player, but he's never fit" Said he'd go off and play for Australia, then he'd take 4 or 5 games to get back up to speed. I wonder if QPR played him a lot when he was carrying injuries. Bit like us with Kieren Lee. Maybe we're seeing the effects of that now

Would we at the moment offer him a new contract? Would it not be advantageous to get some money back/ taken off the wage bill. jonnyowl
Doesn't matter how good he is, if he's not on the pitch and in the treatment room constantly then he's no good to us!
Nut
We can manage without him and it would give some of the younger lads more game time to develop at a lower level. I'd be happy for him to go.
