We need him.  Don't let him go  if he's under contract.

we do need him but we also need him on the pitch not been water boy on a Saturday afternoon.

we could have ronaldo and messi but if they’re injured they aren’t going to win you games!!

his players 40 games since 2019…thanks but time to go forward with this new approach of young lads etc…

Just to put into context what Luongo could offer to our midfield:

Total tackles made:

Adeniran - 8 (5 appearances)

Luongo - 7 (1 appearance)

Wing - 4 (5 appearances)

Bannan - 3 (5 appearances)

Byers - 1 (3 appearances)

If only we can keep him fit.

if my grandma had wheels she’d be a bike.

I’m hoping we a are club no longer run on “ifs” …time to be sensible not sentimental.

I get that, but this is a player who was an ever-present for four years at QPR.

His injury issues only started at Wednesday and Pulis admitted we rushed his recovery last season.

If the medical team think there's a permanent issue which is likely to continue recurring, then it makes sense to move him on if possible. However, if they think he can return to regular action with the right management, then it would be daft to let one of our best players leave at this point.

If he's a cut above in this league he'll be way too good for the A League.....It's a hard watch. Hopefully he'll stay because unless he's homesick that's a huge step backwards.

He can’t be homesick, he’s been in the UK for about 12 year 😂

But maybe he wants to finish up at home and relax.

Are they prepared to pay a fee, his wages and medical bills or are we talking about taking him for free at the end of his contract?

If it's the latter, there's no story here. Doubt he'll be offered another contract with Wednesday unless he has a blinding second half of the season, and even then on reduced terms.

I'm sure you have the stats to back that up, but interestingly when we first signed him, my QPR mate said "he's a decent player, but he's never fit"

Said he'd go off and play for Australia, then he'd take 4 or 5 games to get back up to speed. I wonder if QPR played him a lot when he was carrying injuries. Bit like us with Kieren Lee.

Maybe we're seeing the effects of that now

no point letting him go before the summer, key part of this squad (if fit)

Doesn't his contract run out in the Summer?

Would we at the moment offer him a new contract?

Would it not be advantageous to get some money back/ taken off the wage bill.

Cracking player, but.
