TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY

Recommended Posts

We're ok for numbers

Only potential promble, is Gregory looking like our top scorer this season.

Historically Gregory does a job & chips in with a few goals. Ideally though, we'd have a better finisher alongside him

We haven't even seen what Shoddypoo & Sow can do yet. So I doubt Moore will be looking for more

It’s a nice change to not be scrambling around hoping that 2 or 3 deadline day signings can save our season.

We’ve done our good business early and if we didn’t sign anyone today I wouldn’t be disheartened. But I do reckon Moore will try to replace Andre Green & I also won’t be shocked if he wants another striker.

I don’t think we need any more numbers in but Moore will be looking for any player that is available and would improve us.  It could be a worry that 3 of our centre backs could have a recurrence of previous injuries but with Gibson and Palmer as an emergency cover hopefully we should be ok.  Maybe at the next transfer window we could sort any shortfalls.

Once Windass is back I can’t see Gregory starting that often.

I don't expect us to sign anybody.  We've had the best transfer window for years and are not in desperate need for players in any position.  A 20+ goals a season striker would be nice, but everybody wants one of those and I don't realistically see where we are going to find one.  We might be better off seeing how this team continues to gel and then reassessing in January.

Sunderland are interested in signing Dajaku from six-time European champions Bayern.

Dajaku is currently with Union Berlin on a temporary basis, but has made just two Bundesliga appearances for the capital club.

While £1.62m-valued Dajaku has not yet made the transition to the elite, his record at youth level suggests that he has plenty of talent and ability. In 60 games for VfB Stuttgart’s development sides, he scored 41 goals, showing that he can be prolific. Also, Bayern clearly saw enough in him to give him three appearances for their first team.
