Popular Post dunsbyowl
Officially opened on this day 60 years ago by Stanley Rous before a game vs Bolton. The words of Simon Inglis say it all. 10 10

sheffield_dave
I’ve done 56 away grounds and never seen anything as good as the North Stand. It’s a glorious football stand.
Blatter
With my dad we watched it grow week by week from our spot on the South Stand Terrace. Said one day I’ll sit in there. I did and still do. Firmly believe it’s the best view in Hillsborough.

oldtawnyowl
My dad had his first season ticket in the North shortly after it opened (may even have been the first season.) IIRC it cost him a massive £6.6 shillings. Edited August 23, 2021 by oldtawnyowl

legendaryswan
I had a season ticket in there from 1964/5 to the 67/68 season, great memories of sitting with my Dad watching games, my seat was 10 rows back opposite the tunnel, i liked to shift around if it wasnt too full, must have sat in just about every row of that stand at some point, always changed my row if we lost, so moved quite a lot some years! It still my favourite place to watch home games, occasionally I sit in my old seat when the chance arises brings home some happy days.
