I’m unsurprised as the Sunderland website gave a pretty big indication that this might be the case. Am disappointed as it is the last weekend before the kids go back to school so was going to use this game as the base for a family event. Now We are going to end up having a family picnic where we are actually going to have to speak to each other! What a nightmare!

to what ive heard this game would have been moved to a mon night on sky . so we wouldnt have got the game saturday with a bumper crowd upto 30000 with them fetching 5000 . to be mon or tues night is a pain so cancelling at least we get our keeper for rearranged game.

It would've been on sky but Saturday lunchtime or Sunday afternoon. Monday night they had picked Portsmouth v Plymouth and when that was called off they picked Burton v Bolton.

Pros and cons isn’t it but I think it’s good news really,  gives the players time to recover from any knocks and recover their fitness, and any new signings have time to gel with the group before we go again with some tough looking fixtures. Assuming that we will be fielding as many fringe and young players against Newcastle that is permitted.
