Probably doing what Ole wanted to do but didn’t have the bottle

I bet Ronaldo is a right mardy arse if dropped

Dropped by an ex-teammate too lol

No denying his greatness, but I'm not sure what you do with him these days. He will still get goals, but all the top teams defend from the front and he can't really do that.

Yeh I imagine that too

Be interesting to see what the new fella makes of Ronaldo.

Demands high pressing, on the front attacking football...which old CR7 can't really do these days.

Can't do or won't do? I think he's done

Easy for him to do when he’s done after today. I think Ronaldo wields too much power for the new manager to follow suite

Perhaps a little from column a and a bit more column b.

I just get the sense that part of his motivation to keep going is to pad out his stats a bit more. Doing a Romario lol

Yeh I also get that impression, which is a bit sad really that somebody with such a great career feels the need to do that. Maybe just cares about trying to beat Romarios record lol

Watching him and Messi now is just a bit meh.

Messi just looks like another self indulgent brat among many others at PSG.

Ronaldo still sort of doing the business and he has bailed them out a few times this season, but one does wonder if they'd be a better "team" without him. Who honestly knows.

Still - watch him score the winner today!

Manure playing 3 defensive midfielders. Fred, McTominay and Matic. Scared shtless. Only genuine threat dropped to their bench.

Imagine Fergie seeing this. How the mighty have fallen.

To be fair, during the latter Ferguson years, he often went full combative / defensive against the top teams.
Difference is, that meant Keane, Park and Carrick. Not Fred, McTominay and a past-it Matic.

They're surrendering possession for counter attacking.

Could work but their defence/team usually ends up all over the place.

If they manage to get a point I think De Gea will have been MotM.

This is pretty much what they would do under OIe.

Only seen Messi in CL  v City and he looked sharp in those games.

I see he only has 6 league starts, has he been injured or dropped?

Not sure.

He played yesterday and grabbed three assists so he's still contributing.

Perhaps we have someone on here who is an expert with respect to PSG/Ligue 1, but the impression I got is that some of the top players there don't always play in league matches. Sure I've seen a few PSG matchday squads where the likes of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe aren't even on the bench.

Watched them on Wednesday. I agreed with the BBC sport report that Messi (plus the other two) didn’t work hard enough. I disagreed when they said it was never their game: Messi used to work incredibly hard.

Yeah, not playing in Pep's barca team without putting a shift in.

Who knows, perhaps he looks at the other two strolling about and thinks: what's the point?
