Can’t see Newcastle basing their new era on one game at Burnley, their plans will be made already.  Plus if you were Newcastle,  would you prefer to have Leeds or Burnley in the league with you next season?  One is a big club with potential pulling power, the other is a town called Burnley.

True, but the players will be thinking a good end of season might get them a stay in the new era.

On Brentford vs Leeds

“ The bad blood between the clubs began in February 2020 when (Thomas) Frank claimed Leeds would “fear” facing them at Griffin Park because they had lost four of their previous five games. Leeds drew and went on to walk the Championship and they remembered Frank’s jibe during their celebrations.

A video has recently resurfaced showing Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas singing, “Mind the gap, Thomas Frank” as they danced with the Football League trophy. Brentford striker Ivan Toney retweeted the clip with the message “Hmm” and the clubs’ fortunes have changed since they were rivals in the Championship two years ago. “

🤞🤞 If there’s anything about Brentford they’ll also know that most of the country are rooting for them. And more selfishly, Burnley are likely to be in their sights in future seasons, whereas Leeds could, theoretically, push forwards.

Agreed. I’m sure they must know that 99% of football supporters would love nothing more than to see them relegate the scrubbers from West Yorkshire.

Some of the spurs players gone down with food poisoning apparently. Also my God I hope Leeds go down on Sunday. Shame Burnley can’t join them mind.

Didn't this happen a few year ago...

Pathetic.

Sick to the back teeth of clubs resorting to this sort of nonsense when their team simply isn't good enough.

The PL are not going to do Burnley and Leeds' bidding by hitting Everton with a points deduction now, end of story. It would open a can of worms and create a dangerous precedent. That's not to say Everton might not be subject to some sort of punishment next season. Still though.

They’ll be hoping for a West Ham / pigs style pay off.

Probably.

Call it a hunch, but one would think that Burnley and Leeds would have been aware of Everton's financial issues for a while or certainly could have been much sooner than now had they wished to do so.

But hey, they might get relegated, so let's start threatening lawsuits etc.

W@nkers.
