Forest want Palmer.... we must sell !

Been reported this morning that Forest are after Liam Palmer.

 

If this is the case surely we have to sell.... last year of his contract, never been up to it really although he has improved and just lost his place to Hunt.

 

Would also allow more opportunities for Dawodo who is a good prospect.

Depends entirely on what Forest are prepared to pay. Too reliable a player to dismiss for peanuts.

Great servant to the club all these years but he's not getting any younger and he's been bang average the last 2-3 seasons.

Not a Palmer hater by any means, I think he's been a solid, reliable servant to the club over the years.

 

But it Florist are offering anything over 300k then it's got to be a no brainer.

We should be selling or extending the contract of any player with one year or less on their contract. 
 

As we have learnt to our cost, it’s financial suicide to do anything else.

He's worth more than that to us IMO.

Cash in for me................................i wouldnt class him as a "key" player and in his last year....... we`ve dropped this b0ll0ck far too many times before.

He's a first team regular for us so offer would need to be in excess of £750k

Scotland international and spent most of his career as a Championship rb. Even though he's in the last year of his contract we shouldn't be selling for less than £1m.

Needs to stay in my opinion unless it is a very good offer. Reliable, has improved hugely over the years and loves wednesday. Very under rated and gets alot of undue criticism.

All players have their price true. As you've alluded  to though, £300k is indeed below his worth.
