Judging by that Tally Teddy Davison has to be knocking on the door of the century mark ?

Yep, he's the record holder. If my list is correct, the Top 10 are:

136 - Teddy Davison (1908-1925)

121 - Jack Brown (1922-1937)

119 - Kevin Pressman (1987-2004)

117 - Ron Springett (1957-1967)

85 - Jack Lyall (1901-1909)

75 - Bob Bolder (1977-1983)

70 - Keiren Westwood (2014-2021)

67 - Martin Hodge (1983-1988)

65 - Dave McIntosh (1947-1958)

57 - Chris Turner (1976-1979 & 1988-1991)

Yeah but you could also say two games 0 goals...  You dont win games if you dont score goals.

Last 17 games. W12 D3 L2. Enough said.

Chris Turner’s has to be the most impressive performance.  We were absolutely dogger that season.

Two games, two clean sheets so far.

A different world, and makes a difference results wise (if you exclude penalty shoot-outs)

To be totally honest, he is a great shot stopper, but he frightens the crap out of me with his decision making.

Yeah, I looked twice at that stat as well. Although we were shocking at that time, the problem was propbably more up front than at the back.

Shows how good Westwood was for us for me! We all knew he was good but to be first and joint second in league clean sheets in our whole history is fantastic. Especially with 4 title winning years.

One of my favourite players post 2000. Possibly the best goalkeeper we have have for 30 years or so.

So we have a full side of hero Keepers. Starting with David Bronco Layne who deputised with a clean sheet after Ron Springett sprained an ankle at the Kop end Vs Blackpool..

David Layne

Teddy Davison             Jack Brown            Kevin Pressman                         Ron Springett

Jack Lyall                        Bob Bolder                   Keiran Westwood

Martin Hodge                   Dave McIntosh

Chris  Turner

Yep its been an incredible turn around, can't put my finger on why everything seems to be working so much better now but makes you think about lost opportunities, we could be comfortably in the auto places..

When you take into consideration the quality of what was infront of those keepers Pressman at times, but Bob Bolder were superb keepers, agility and alertness were off the scale, saw Bolder make about 8 stupendous saves against swindon one season in an end of season game when ST were already promoted
