I don't see how 6 loans would work if we're only allowed 5 in the matchday squad. 

 

Parent clubs want players to play and if those coming in aren't better than what we've already got (summising they are worth a place in the squad), what's the point?

There is only 1 loanee that has a guaranteed spot and that is the GK 

 

the rest compete for a place

You’d expect Cosgrove to thrive more in league 1 than the championship. 

 

Was hoping for a PL youngster on loan but I wouldn’t grumble about Cosgrove.  He could easily be as good as Piggott in league 1 next season

I know it was the Scotish Premiership and all but he got some good goals at Aberdeen. He thrives on service out wide, and he can put the goals away with his feet too. He's a unit. Good having a unit in League One.

Cosgrove would be a tidy signing at this level…he’s not quite cut it at championship level but he would improve us up top I’m sure.

If and stress if Sam Cosgrove does sign for us I hope there's no call back if he's banging them in for fun....we had that with Kenwyn Jones from Southampton.

I probably shouldn’t have hastily posted vague information - my main concern wasn’t his goals, it was the 12 appearances.

yep a players career is often defined by their previous season.

if watching championship football and listening to pundits has anything to go by, he wasn’t very good at that level.

Not really but it’s the most recent season to go off.

He only joined Birmingham halfway through the season. 
 

He was injured too. Not to mention Birmingham weren’t short of a striker last season. Hogan, Leko and Jutkiewitz all competing.
