Turns out to make a £10m transfer worth it, it only takes 6 goals and 4 assists 😂

Don't know why we complained about Rhodes!

6 goals

4 assists

1 bent "humble" Lamborghini

And trotters for hands.

It's a year since they spent £23.5m on Brewster, and they've had 1 tap in goal in the League Cup in return.

Makes Rhodes look value for money.

32 league games without a goal now isn't it?

Wilder 50/1 in the betting for the Newcastle job. How the mighty have fallen. You'd like to think that a couple of year's ago he'd be one of the favourites for the job?

Really do wonder where his eventual landing spot will be.

It's like we've said before in here.. in 4 years he got promoted twice, finished 9th in the Premier League, with a reputation for playing excellent football and over achieving with the players at his disposal. On paper, he should have been at the front of the queue for every Championship job going, as well as in serious consideration for jobs like Newcastle and Celtic (which he was linked to during Howe stalling on them).

Whatever went on at United, he must have seriously sh*t his pot. It can't just be the amount he spent to get them relegated in the fashion they did. He's not the first one to do that.

This is a good point. A bit like Curbishley back in the day. Excellent CV but seemed to be black listed and never part of the usual merry-go-round.

Shame Monk / Pulis we’re not black listed!

Didn't curbishley go to West ham as manager and then director of football or recruitment or some such role?

Hardly black listed

He managed West Ham and resigned over lack of control. He successfully sued them if I remember correctly for breach of contract or something and never managed since.

He did briefly work as some director role at Fulham but has never managed again.

Just seems odd that nobody has taken a punt on him since. It may be that he doesn’t want another manager job but you would have thought his Charlton record alone would have got him another job.

As has been said in the thread previously, the football community is very small, and owners/CEOs/COOs/DOFs talk.

Wilder’s record was good enough that he shouldn’t have been out of work for as long as he has been already- the wasted cash and final season were (hilariously) terrible but he had enough credit on paper to walk into another high end Champ role.

But he’s got himself a rep after the Prince buried him in public (which Wilder can’t seemingly comment on, presumably owing to the terms of his exit settlement with SUFC) and that’ll be very difficult to shift now.

Did a Paddy power add a year or so ago and I think been a pundit abroad, maybe less hassle and I would assume pays well?
