scram
One of the problems for managers is that their stock can rapidly diminish Especially if they keep waiting around for "the" job and have demands out of snyc with their achievements in the game The longer he's out of work the harder it will be to get back and his "achievements" will be the tail end of his previous role which was horrendously bad He hasn't built a solid reputation like an Allardyce who will always be seen as some sort of firefighter/problem solver - or a Warnock Much better and more established managers have drifted out of the game after going invisible for a while Best example probably being Curbishley who was tipped for just about every job going - including England - but he wanted a certain level of club in a certain location with certain terms and conditions etc And he never worked again...

Suppose it could be argued that it happened because it was Sheffield United his hometown club the club he supported as a boy so it all fell into place for him and the club almost a perfect storm for him and would it be for another club? He 100% will I think the only way he'll end up back in management is if Bournemouth come calling again in a few years time when they haven't got promoted
