From Joka's comments, it sounds like he was promised funds to overhaul the whole squad. The next few days will be interesting, because if they dont make a few substantial signings, then the board have broken their promise to him.

Will Joker walk if thats the case? He will already know he cant do anything with this squad, so youd think he will

He's walked out of better clubs that were far better ran.

Think he'd rather get the pay off, managers always get job offers from somewhere. He was taking the dollar in some no mark league before and will have plenty of opportunities to do that again.

He's thought of as a winning manager at the moment longer this goes on it will soon change to a losing manager. As the saying goes you're only as good as your last game.

True but quatar isn't where winning managers go. The only reason is money.

Don't think he cares about  perception, it's about the contract on offer. In football someone will always see failure as a one off, mitigating factors etc and throw money at him to manage is some backwater league based on past CV, no matter how long ago.

Mardiola linked with Forest should the axe fall on Hughton

That’ll go down really well 🤣

Mardiola 😆

A move to Forest would fit in with that Shane Meadows thing he had going on at United when he’d talk about places in Sheffield as if it was still late 80s/early 90s.

Only thing is, isn't he supposed to be on a hefty number at the Lane? Leaving a job in Qatar where he must have been raking it in, surely pigs must have given him a salary to match or bettered? I can't see him walking away from that.

Good point....Joker will do a bus driver, and demand a hefty compensation to quit.. even better lol

Looks like they signing Hourihane on loan from Villa. Got to be honest I think he's one of those players who was good about 5 years ago and has slowly declined. I know Swansea fans weren't exactly raving about him during his loan spell there.

He’d probably keep them out of trouble and an upgrade on some others who are past their best like Norwood. But it’s interesting Swansea fans thought he slowed things down too much.

Quite possibly although I do think Joker see's Norwood as part of his plans. Think he'll replace the once golden child that is John Fleck, rumours are he wanted out in the summer and doesn't want to stick around anymore.

How in the hell have they managed to sign Hourihane

Cos he isn't particularly that good anymore?

Loaning a 32 yesr old who had a poor loan spell at that level last season is hardly a ground breaking signing
