Their Wednesday thread on their forum is absolutely sublime at the moment

Things are that bad and they’re struggling to knock us, that they’ve turned to Hi Ho Sheffield Wednesday now….

‘Imagine your "club anthem" just being a bit of clapping, then shouting 4 words. flipsake. Can't they even come up with something relevant for the first bit of the song.

Imagine if all we did was clap along to Annie's Song and then shout "Like Sheffield UNITED." That's all they're doing. It's embarassing.’

A song that they leave off half the last line to descend into a demented cacophony of growls and monkey grunts

As opposed to their club anthem which is a song about food.lol

And Woodbines and snuff, which  makes them sound like scruffy 80 year olds.

At least it makes a change from using the term "Wendy" which makes them sound 4.

And even those who are scruffy eighty year olds won’t be able to remember the last time they won anything. Then again I doubt there’s a single living blunt who can.

You’d have to be over 100yo to be able to remember them winning a serious trophy.

Didn't they call us washday or something  along those lines?

Well their forum makes interesting reading today.

Apparently the Rammers money has gone to pay off Bournemouth, and the next instalment on Berge. The next payment on five touches is due, and they need to sell to cover that. This could be what the £40m sales referred to. Payments also coming due on the two Derby lads. They are desperate to get players out, but other clubs are wanting loans which doesn’t help them.

One of the “ promising youngsters” wants to go out on loan and his agent had a good deal lined up, but bog roll wants him to the their Belgium club which he has refused to do, and along with a couple of others is now considering his future.

I hope that’s cheered everyone up this morning. Maybe it won’t be too long before they are back with they belong, looking up at us.

Wonder if they will be forced into a fire sale over the next week, iceberger going for less than they paid for him, accepting £5m for 5 touches?

Don't forget non payment of football creditors = umbongo..... just like derby

Not only was (still is?) he a good player - it's a palpable shift in the style Slav wants to get the team playing

He also probably wants to dampen down the kind of mindset and philosophy they have and change it to more continental as he had at Watford and Fulham

Geudioura alone won't fix that but i presume it's one of a number of changes that will be made

When a team has such a catastrophic season as the pigs last season then that can carry over and blight the future

It needs intervention from a playing and mentality perspective

The manager has been dealt a shyte hand so he needs to do what he can to change it

Guedioura is 36 in a couple of months and has done nothing of note since his time at Watford which was over 4 years ago. He is also not known for having the greatest mentality when things aren't going swimmingly, seems a bit of a desperate move to turn to in order to try and change things.

Is his hand that bad? They still have the basis of the team that got promoted from the Championship, Norwich were almost as bad in the PL a couple of seasons ago as Utd were last season but got back up.

Seems the in-fighting is taking its toll, the mood around the club has deteriorated significantly since the prince took overall control and the big money they spent last season has made them worse.

It was obvious that Wilder and the board didn't see eye to eye. The way they bumbled through the last 3 months of last season without a clear plan was weird and now not hitting the ground running has piled on the pressure.

Can’t see there being a big queue for either of them. Arsenal were the only prem side interested in the iceberg....and he’s gone downhill since then. Not sure anyone would touch five touches even at £5m
