Yep. I genuinely believe we had a lot riding on this as far as the next decade of Sheffield football is concerned.

Now it gets interesting.

Absolutely this

Don't care what any Wednesday fan says, if theyde won tonight they would have beaten Huddersfield no doubts.

Seeing them with the riches of the Premiership again whilst we play league one would have swung the momentum in their favour hugely.

Now let's the job done next season!!

Absolutely

Could have been a disaster for us really with the gap widening again and then being 200mill or whatever up again

Bit premature of Forest for all this stuff on the pitch, but we did similar (in the stands) after beating Brighton away.

It’s almost like (in both cases) celebrating that hope has returned after both watching our clubs let us down for so long. Proper club Forest.

Difference been, we were up against a much better team then us in the final.

I’m a bit out the loop with the pigs - why are they financially screwed they just had two seasons in the PL?

They took out loans against future tv money whilst in the prem and then again against he parachute payments

All the while paying Berge, Brewster and a few others a small fortune in the championship. If the takeover doesn’t happen then they’ll be in a bit of a pickle

At a minimum they won’t get to keep Gibbs-White and you’d assume have to sell Berge at a bit of a cut price.

I don’t think they’ll implode overnight but their ability to keep players, replace players with quality or improve in any way is going to suffer. And that starts right now.
