Great 3 points, Well done to the 216,881 travelling fans.

That's just well over the top. Honestly, talk about milking it. Why do people make up this sh!t? Nobody is going to believe that.

It was a cup game FFS! There was no 3 points on offer.

Pretty giddy about the Huddersfield game now. A few seats available behind the dugout, going to give my usual kop seat a miss and get one of those, allowing me to offer Moore my tactical advice throughout the game. Looking forward to it.

I’m sure he is too. 😁

Pleasantly surprised,  didn't think we had  a prayer of scoring, so that was nice and bodes well that goals can come from other areas of the pitch in the absence of any strikers (for the time being)

Good minutes in the legs and hopefully no injuries.

OMG! They're drip feeding them! Doffing my cap!

Sheffield Wednesday (4-3-3)

Bailey Peacock-Farrell 7

Pulled off a couple of smart saves in the first half to thwart Conlon. Had no chance with Conlon's strike from close range. His distribution was hit and miss.

Jack Hunt 8

Impressive showing at full-back in defence and attack. Produced a delightful pull back near the byline to create one of Shodipo's opportunities. Full of running.

Sam Hutchinson 7

Nothing flashy but gave little away at the back. Calm and composed on the ball. Like Hunt, he was taken off at half-time.

Dominic Iorfa 7

Bullet header to give the Owls the lead from a corner. Typically committed display from the towering centre-back. Another good work-out in his recovery from injury.

Put a '1' instead of a '!' after 'OMG'

Didn't grant get pulled up for it when he was with us I'm sure it was a local Derby aswell in last few minutes of a game at Hillsborough?

Yes he did, I think it was the game where Watson scored and we won 1-0.

Liam Palmer 7

Moved to left-back to accommodate Jack Hunt. Carried out his defensive duties with a minimum of fuss and started the contest brightly, seeing two shots go narrowly over.

Massimo Luongo 6

Was deployed just in front of the back four. Always looked to put his foot in and break up play. There's still more to come from the tough-tackling Aussie.

Dennis Adeniran 6

Sloppy piece of play deep inside his own half could have resulted in an early Port Vale goal. Won his fair share of tackles and teed up Shodipo for a sight at goal after one lung-busting run.

Lewis Wing 7

Brilliant corner for Iorfa's header. His set piece delivery caught the eye throughout. Showed some lovely touches. A very encouraging outing.

Andre Green 6

Anonymous as an attacking force. Switched to the left after the break but made little impact. His end product left a lot to be cesired.

Olamide Shodipo 8

One of the bright sparks again. Always wants to get on the ball and make things happen. Was twice denied by the agility of Covolan in the first period. Caused problems with his direct of style.

Korede Adedoyin 7

Bright in moments. Efficiently held the ball up and linked the midfield and forward line at times. Saw a cheeky back heel saved by Covolan. Bagged the assist for Dele-Bashiru's late winner.

Chey Dunkley (HT, 7)

Rock solid. Read the game well and helped restrict the Valiants to few clear-cut openings.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru (HT, 7)

Put himself about and scored a stunning late winner after good work by Adedoyin. Has he staked his claim for the weekend?

Jaden Brown (HT, 6)

Slotted in at left-back and was not overly tested defensively. Did not offer loads going forwards.

Joe Wildsmith (68, n/a)

Alex Hunt (68, n/a)

Charles Hagan (68, n/a)

Ciaran Brennan (76, n/a)

Ryan Galvin (76 n/a)

Fair play to The examiner, decent and honest ratings. Very much in the spirit of player ratings that I love, and have missed, so much.
