What we expecting from this lad this season?

Should be decent at this level. Much depends on how hard he is willing to work.

I suspect he’ll carry on in the same vein of the last few years by showing promise but generally falling short.

If he can reach peak fitness and stay there you'd expect him to be one of the better players in this division. Been stop start since he arrived though. Fingers crossed.

Personally I rate him having seen him play a few times at Portsmouth but this is really the time for him to step up and play well every game.

With Windass starting the season injured and us possibly playing a 5-3-2 he might be our pacey striking option.

 

Having had a few slow seasons and having been without  aclub for 6 months this season is make or break for him, hope he steps up

I’m hoping we have a player that shows a burning desire to improve and play well enough to earn a move to the premier league to earn untold riches. We seem to collect players with zero ambition, happy to let there career fade out whilst collecting a pay check. If he does it’s win win for him and Wednesday

He is a player that needs a run of games. His career has been a bit stop start. He has something about him and I hope he can do well for us

Don't want to be negative, I know he's still relatively young, but not seen a lot from him. Had a few good moments, but fairly anonymous.

 

Scored a good goal in pre season though and hope that is the type of stuff we'll see from him this season. 

 

However, if I was a betting man would guess a season interrupted by niggling injuries,.a coupe of good games but mostly indifferent form.

If he can get fit and stay for he could be a massive asset for us this season.. 

If not I'd expect a season of frustration.

We are pretty much relying on him having a good season. 

 

I don't think it is too much to expect 5-10 goals and double figure assists. This would be a good season for him and us.

I could be wrong, but doesn’t his contract expire next year? Meaning we will lose him for peanuts/nothing if we don’t get it extended. Or do we have an option to extend a season?

I have quite a few Villa mates from work/England matches & to a man the desperately want him to succeed with us. He made a massive impact when he first broke into their first team squad & reached almost legendary status when he headed the last minute equaliser against the pigs when Villa came back from 3 down a few seasons ago.

Consensus is he's no Billy Bigbollox but a thoroughly good guy who deserves a bit of luck!
